- DocuSign revolutionizes the way businesses handle agreements. With its secure, easy-to-use electronic signature platform, DocuSign allows companies to sign, send, and manage contracts and forms from anywhere.
- Security and sign on ease is extremely important to DocuSign to ensure the user’s experience is swift, secure, and compliant with the latest regulations.
- I worked hand-in-hand with agile development teams to design login screen settings that both addressed technical needs and user experience needs. Most of the project focused on SSO and Identity provider settings.
Impact
- Working closely with an agile team, I simplified complex workflows within the admin settings for enterprise solutions, enhancing user experience and efficiency. Additionally, I contributed to the project by designing custom iconography and converting mobile and tablet sign-in screens, creating a seamless, responsive experience for users across all devices.
Process
Define
I quickly delved into understanding the project’s scope, identifying flaws in the existing designs, and uncovering the technical needs, particularly around SSO certificate rollout. I engaged with developers and project managers to discuss the technical requirements of the SSO backend account, researched SSO certificates, Okta, and other third-party sign-on solutions, and reviewed the design kit and patterns.
Ideation
This thorough analysis informed the creation of three design options, which were then evaluated with the Systems team to ensure alignment with micro-copy and design guidelines.
Implementation
In the design delivery phase, I facilitated a smooth handoff to developers by presenting the finalized designs and ensuring all necessary specifications were clearly documented. I led a constructive discussion with the development team, addressing any questions and collaboratively refining the implementation details to ensure the designs were executed accurately and effectively.
Evaluation
During the evaluation phase, I worked closely with developers to address spec questions, resolve issues, and ensure quality control. My focus was on guiding the development process, verifying that the designs were implemented correctly, and maintaining the highest standards throughout the project.
Mobile Login Screens
Collaborated on login screens: forgot password flow, email confirmation flow, two step verification, third party login, access code, SSO signing screens for mobile, tablets and desktop.
Original Settings
Updated Design
In the new design, I implemented direct download options for SSO certificates currently used by identity providers, and I added alert banners and helper text to enhance user guidance.
